How to See Which Collection Drives the Most Sales in Shopify

Knowing your top-performing collection tells you what to feature and promote. Here's how to rank collections by sales — in one message.

Collections are how you group and merchandise your catalog, so knowing which one actually drives sales tells you where to point your homepage, your ads, and your attention. But Shopify's analytics center on products and orders, not collections, so the collection-level view that should guide your merchandising is surprisingly hard to get.

Why collection performance is hard to see

To work out which collection is selling, you'd have to map products to collections and sum their sales yourself. Shopify doesn't hand you a clean "revenue by collection" ranking, so the question that should shape your merchandising usually goes unanswered.

Rank your collections in one question

With Claude MCP Connector, you get the breakdown instantly:

Lean in: Summer Essentials is carrying the month — worth featuring it harder while it's hot.

Why it sharpens merchandising

Featuring your strongest collection while it's hot — and rethinking the ones that underperform — is core merchandising work. When the performance ranking is a single question, those decisions are driven by what's actually selling rather than by gut feel.
