Shopify's built-in customer export works — but it always gives you everything. Want just the customers who spent over $200? Or only those from a specific country? Or people who ordered in the last 90 days but haven't come back? The default export doesn't filter. You get the full CSV and sort it yourself.
Segmented exports the easy way

Useful customer export scenarios
- Re-engagement campaign: customers who ordered 90+ days ago but not since
- VIP segment: customers with lifetime value above a threshold
- Geographic targeting: all customers in a specific country or region
- Product-specific: everyone who ever bought a particular item
- Tag-based: customers tagged as "wholesale" or "vip" or any custom tag
Tag customers automatically too
You can combine the export with tagging in the same session:
"Tag all customers who have placed 3 or more orders as 'loyal'. Then export that list."
